Award winning bid specialists, AM Bid Services have strengthened their workforce by a further two members, as the company starts 2018 with expansion. This sees AM Bid Services driving growth and business development following a successful third year’s trading which saw turnover up by 73 per cent (£464,291) on the previous year.
Founded by Andrew Morrison in 2014, AM Bid Services has grown organically and increased its core offering of bid and proposal writing to include masterclasses, training and bid strategy consultancy, expanding across over 20 sectors. The company provides services to organisations (large, medium-sized and small) across the country.
Morrison has expanded his team through two key appointments, who have business development, bid writing and management expertise. Peter Sharpe will continue to grow the company’s presence and secure contracts in London, the South East and overseas in his role as Bid Manager and Writer.
Sharpe has almost 10 years of experience in tender and procurement roles with understanding of both sides of the buying process. He brings with him a wealth of business development knowledge from the UK’s largest drug and alcohol charity, where he competed for contracts to deliver health and wellbeing services for local authorities, clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) and the NHS. Sharpe is Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) accredited.
Gavin Cowan has also been appointed as Client Account Executive, primarily responsible for business development in addition to client servicing. A former team leader in IBM’s Appliances Operations team, Cowan has supported million-dollar opportunities in his role as Content and Research Manager also at IBM.
Commenting on the new appointments and prospects for the year ahead, Founding Director Andrew Morrison said: “It has been a great start to 2018 for AM Bid Services, and Peter and Gavin’s experience will continue to build upon the strong momentum we’ve built up over the last few years.
“With a strong pipeline already for the coming months, I am confident this year will provide us with even more opportunities to grow the business and make an even bigger impact in the bidding profession.”
Peter Sharpe, Bid Manager and Writer said: “I have known Andrew for several years prior to joining the team at AM Bid Services, and have always admired his drive and commitment. I therefore jumped at the chance to be part of the company and contribute further to its success. I’ve already learnt a lot in my first couple of weeks, and I’m excited to be leading business growth in London, the South East and abroad.”
Client Account Executive at AM Bid Services, Gavin Cowan, added: “I am looking forward to exploring new markets to determine where the company can make the biggest impact. We have a busy year ahead, so am looking forward to contributing to business growth and building relationships to maximise prospects.”
